Area Mother Insists Son is a Genius
Mrs. Kang of Mokdong, Seoul, simply refuses to accept the fact that her son is of average intelligence. Her son, a C+ student in the fourth grade, has been attending hagwon since he was six months old. His favorite subject is gym class. Mrs. Kang's sister, speaking to reporters said, "I keep telling her little Dong Woo isn't going to Seoul National, so stop wasting all your money on hagwons."

However, Mrs. Kang is convinced that Dong Woo is simply a "late bloomer". The family plans to move to Daechi-Dong, "to be closer to the elite hagwons". When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Dong-Woo answered, "a policeman". His mother chuckled and commented on what a "comic genius" her son is. "He will definitely be a doctor or lawyer, I just know it" she added.
